A little update for the “kanji to romaji converter” app I wrote earlier. It now can convert the kanji text to hiragana (katakana is left as is). As the previous version, it’s based on the romaji.org engine, so the styling of the output is theirs.
Changelog:
– added hiragana output
– added different sizes for the icon (because on windows it looked godawful)
– no embedded fonts (much smaller app and installer)
– other minor fixes
Download:
Note: delete/uninstall the previous version if you have it installed
AIR Installer file (crossplatform): get it from here (requires Adobe AIR Runtime to run)
MAC native DMG installer: KanjiToRomajiv1.1.dmg
Windows native installer: to follow.
P.S. used the same TWGOK twitter account for the quote in the screenshot
I use XP 2, when I do convert, it takes a long loading.. Is there a solution?
it’s an online application – can you check if you can access http://romaji.org ?
I understand.
by the way, is there the converter application in offline?
none that I know of. I’m working on an offline version – but that’ll be written in Qt, so it’ll take some time to finish
Wow, I have been looking for this. Thanks so much.
It would be nice if it has an automatic clipboard translation
When the offline version release?
This info is worth everyone’s attention. When can I find out more?|
